What you will be doing
At 3E, we are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior SaaS Engineer to join our growing team. As a key player in our technology and SaaS division, your focus will be on our innovative platform, SynaptiQ, a leading software suite that boosts the performance of renewable energy assets.
In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering and maintaining the highest quality of our SaaS product, SynaptiQ, handling complex issues and queries, and assisting with the deployment and integration of new assets into the platform.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Platform Maintenance and Improvement:
- Provide input/ideas for maintenance and improvement of the SynaptiQ platform.
- Support the Product Manager with the coordination/integration of new features for the SynaptiQ platform.
- Client Support and Engagement:
- Take the lead in handling complex support tickets from clients, providing effective technical solutions and overseeing the resolution of escalated problems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Manage the deployment and integration of assets into the SynaptiQ platform.
- Act as a technical consultant for our clients, helping them maximize the value they get from SynaptiQ.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Work closely with the Junior SaaS Engineers to guide and mentor them in resolving technical issues.
- Promote a collaborative team environment, fostering innovation, and promoting best practices.
- Process Improvement:
- Constantly review and refine internal tools and processes, proposing creative and innovative solutions for improvement and automation.

- Market Intelligence:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends to ensure SynaptiQ remains at the forefront of the industry.

Our ideal candidate
To successfully fill this role you:
- hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- are fluent in English.
- have proven experience in a SaaS engineering role, with a focus on problem-solving and project management.
- posess in-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or VBA).
- are proficient in database management, with a particular focus on MySQL or other relational database management systems.
- show excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- have the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
- have a deep understanding of SaaS products and ability to dig into the details.
You get bonus points for:
- Knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
- Experience within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong reporting skills (e.g., FlexiReport, PowerBI).
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automating daily tasks.
