What you will be doing
In order to anchor our leading market position of our renewable energy expert services, we are looking for a motivated new team member to join our team based in Brussels. Your team members are experienced in wind energy, technical due diligence, resource assessment and project development, and with their support you will act as a project manager in:
- Conducting technical due diligence for wind installations in Benelux, Eastern Europe, Middle-East and Asia. This can include but is not limited to:
- Technical review of main components of wind turbines
- Review of contracts (TSA, O&M contract, Power Purchase Agreement, Grid connection, etc..)
- Review of land leases and building permits
- Review of environmental impact studies
- Review of long-term energy yield assessments
- Delivering the technical due diligence studies following the planning, budget and the internal quality process of execution.
- Liaising with the project Lender and/or Sponsors and other project stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who has a technical mindset combined with a commercial flair. You have an analytical and critical mind to help us improve on a daily basis. You are someone creative, innovative and accurate, with a strong eye for details. You are someone who does not hide ambition and who thinks outside of the box, is service-oriented and hungry for knowledge.
Of course, there are some non-negotiables:
- You hold a Master's degree in renewable energy engineering or equivalent through experience.
- You have 3-5 years of experience in the field of wind energy, preferably in wind consultancy.
- You show a track record of technical due diligence on wind projects specifically with wind turbine contracts reviews (EPC, WTG supply contrat, O&M, PPA) as Lender's/Owner's technical advisor.
- You show a strong interest in renewable energies, and this reflects in your way of life.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
- You demonstrate very strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Your presentation skills are on point and you like participating in group discussions.
- You thrive while working in a team but have no problem finishing work on your own either.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in the solar energy field.
- Knowledge of French or Dutch or additional languages.
- Experience with technical wind turbine inspections/construction monitoring.
- Available for regular travel for shorter and longer periods.
